HVB ID Check Mobile App app for iPhone and iPad

With HVB ID Check Mobile App, you can approve online payments with your private or business HVB Mastercard or HVB Visa Card conveniently, without having to remember passwords. Transactions with your HVB credit card on the Internet can be confirmed simply by Touch ID or Face ID, depending on the functionality available. This approval procedure can be used if the online merchant requests two-factor authentication from you.

*** What you can expect ***

Activating the app is easy. Sign up in advance for HVB SMS-service and set up your personal HVB eCode via HVB Online Banking or the HVB Card Service. You can also request the activation code for the registration of your mobile device in HVB Online Banking or the HVB Card Service. It will then be sent via SMS after approximately 2 hours. You can connect your HVB credit cards easy and convenient with up to 10 devices.

As soon as an online payment with a participating merchant has been registered, you will receive a push notification on your mobile device which leads to the HVB ID Check Mobile App transaction details screen. You can confirm or decline the outstanding payment, once youve authenticated the action via Face ID or Touch ID.

If you come across a fraudulent payment attempt, decline it and contact the HVB Card Service Center via our app to report the transaction immediately.

You can view your history of biometrically approved and declined online payments within the app, at any time.

Steps for activation:
1. Register your credit card(s) for the HVB SMS service in HVB Online Banking - if you are already using it - or at the HVB Card Service (Mon-Sun: 7/24h at phone: +49 89 435 49 490).
2. Set up your personal HVB eCode (5 digits) in HVB Online Banking or, if you are not registered for this, you will receive it by mail when you order your first credit card. In this case, you can request an HVB eCode again from the HVB Card Service.
3. Request an activation code in HVB Online Banking or from the HVB Card Service. It will be sent by SMS to the mobile number on file with a time delay of approx. 2 hours.
4. Enter your personal HVB eCode (5 digits) and the activation code you received (6 digits) in the installed app.
5. Confirm the biometric data stored on the device.
6. Grant the necessary app authorizations.
